Those days (or nights) riding home from the store as you struggled to read the manual in the car. Those childhood days… lol

  2. ActionFilmsFan1995

What a blast from the past, I wish more games had manuals like this!

  3. what_a_dingle

People talking about how this was the game of their childhoods and I’m sitting here realizing this came out after I’d graduated college…

I remember my dad taking me to Kmart to play the kiosk demo allllll the time, which was Bianco Hills. I would always refer to it as the “Kmart level” from there on out. I was 6 lol

That Christmas I got the Mario Sunshine GameCube bundle ❤ I’m 24 now and can’t wait til play it on my switch. I never actually beat the game because it was too hard, hahah

To this day, I’ve still never quite figured out what they thought I would do with those blank “notes” pages.

Does anyone know if this game is going to be compatible with the game cube controller?

  7. zeppelincheetah

Never played it. I traded out Mario for Zelda as my main Nintendo series in the N64 days.

  8. Margaritamigo

I remember going to blockbuster as a kid and renting this game with my little brother. I never beat the game cause it got a bit tricky and I was only 6 at the time but I’m excited to get to play it again

Where are pages 24-25? Is Imgur just failing to load one of the images for me?

Thank you so much for providing this.

For help on how to get through the hotels, check out the enclosed instruction book.

Looking at this put a tear in my eye. The nostalgia. Thank you!

Awesome. I still have mine but it’s cool for people to see this.

Man, the nostalgia has HIT ME HARD. Christmas of 2002 in Australia, it’s summertime and I’m having a water gun fight with my little brother outside while taking watermelon snack breaks, having burgers for lunch after working up an appetite and then firing up sunshine with that beautiful indigo GameCube controller while being cooled by the air conditioner. Please take me back 🙁

  14. I was 27 when this game came out and had just started my first meaningful job. I remember everyone saying this game sucked when it came out, but I rather enjoyed it.

I won’t be picking up the Switch version as I still have all three of the games on respective consoles.

  15. dubiousandbi

Man, now I’m sad my copy didn’t come with one.

I forgot about the main hub getting brighter as you gained shines. And the little guy who you could get shades from!

  17. CaptainCaptain001

I remember biking to McDonalds as a teenager to play this game on their GameCube things. Really excited to get this for the Switch.

Went through my own copy of this over Christmas break. Nintendo had such nice manuals

  19. TouchMyRustySpoon

I remember getting a GameCube and Mario Sunshine for Christmas the year it came out but no memory card. I had to play the first hour or so of the game on repeat until I managed to save up for one. Hadn’t even occurred to me or my parents that we would need one because everything was cartridge before that.

  20. aaronalation

I remember reading this on the way home from buying it as a kid! I was so excited, and it definitely did not let me down. Still love that game!

  21. DirtDisrespector

My friend always points out how the Table of Contents used the Build-a-Bear font.

  22. It used to drive me absolutely crazy that there was a picture of Mario riding a green yoshi in the manual, but there was no green yoshi in the actual game.

  23. FuuckinGOOSE

I was 9 when it came out, but i kinda missed it cuz i was so hooked on SM64 for so many years
