Pokemon Go

Why would this ever be a thing

Wasnt the biggest reason to implement a ready button for solo players to not be waiting for nothing? Also even if this wasn’t the biggest reason, what even is the point to add this criteria to use it.

I agree. It should be been a great QOL update and they majorly f’ed it up

  2. Gold-Perspective-699

So car raiding at a stop light isn’t a thing. We don’t need more accidents.

  3. nathiel_1

I think it was implemented for teams, so they not wait any longer when all the members are in

Because Niantic thinks everyone is playing in Tokyo or London, with hordes of players ready to jump into raids.

At the very least, they should give the option for solo players to skip the countdown in 1-star raids. I live in a town with a population of 2000. Now imagine how many times I got another player join my fabulous 1-star raids.

EDIT: for the Londoners, *it’s just an example*

It’s because they know how there players work personally if I see one person or more on a raid I’ll join cause that rarely happens so they want you to wait as more will join you if you do but I think there should be a ready up button for 1-2 star raids tho

Niantic loves to tell people how to play their games, rather than letting people play the way they want. And then they release other games with cool features, like with Monster Hunter Now you can throw paint balls at the monster while out and about, and then when you get home you can fight the monster. That obviously doesn’t translate 1:1 for Pokemon, but still, over the past year they have been trying to force people to not play from home and then they add a mechanic that encourages it in another game. Wtf.

It’s A 1 star Yungoos raid, I don’t need to wait a full 2 minutes for someone to join and take it down

  8. Addicted_2_Vinyl

Yes, this annoys me! Let me start and not sit for 2mins

  9. thedeadsigh

niantic has a real bug up their ass about forcing you and everyone to bend to their will. they have an incredibly specific idea about who the average player is and how they believe they should play the game to enjoy it fully. it’s infuriating to see how poorly run this company is. i don’t even see how decisions like this make them more money if you assume every move they make is about making money.

from top to bottom this company makes nothing bad bad business and gaming choices.

What I rather see: You need to win the raid before the game consumes your battle pass.

  11. To make sure you create an alt account. 😉

  12. doggo_kong69

Why are there piss drops behind gengar?

  13. only reason i can think of is not to misclick it and start raid alone on accident

  14. mickeyhause

It’s because niantic hates you would never willingly do something for the good of the community

  15. Wait, I’ve never tried a raid but I was thinking about jumping into a level 1 raid. You telling me I need to know someone who plays in order to raid at all?

  16. SorryMcSorries

Probably to promote the whole “community” esque thing they try to force on solo players. Pretty shit way to go about it though I’ll agree

  17. HopeFantastic2066

You know, this would be okay if they then changed it so if you have remote passes you can queue for a specific Pokémon and get a lobby (non 3rd party).

  18. DylantotheJ

Yeah this is increasingly annoying for the 1 star raids they should give us the option to raid alone

  19. MasterofBiscuits

Because of the Niantic Fantasy – you are there in the raid when another trainer suddenly appears and joins the raid. You overcome adversity together to take down the Gulpin (weather boosted) and soon fall in love over an appreciation of the right-handed circle-lock curveball technique. Marriage follows mere weeks later and you post a tweet tagging Pokemongoapp thanking them for making you the happiest couple ever, and they retweet it with the text “See, this is why we make you do stupid time-wasting shit!”

  20. yeetgodmcnechass

I just continuously spam click the button, a couple of times someone else joined and I was able to start the raid early

  21. James-Avatar

Niantic traditionally seem to hate solo and rural players.

  22. Goddess_Of_Gay

Niantic hates nothing more than a lone player with no friends around to play the game with. Their vision for the game is about collaboration and teamwork, whether this be for raids, trades, etc. They have repeatedly demonstrated and even outright said that they would rather have players quit Pokèmon GO entirely than play in a way counter to their vision.

  23. SyrusDeathHunter3453

Because Niantic is full of fools and they cant develop anything on the quality life aspect of their game.

  24. Kay2Jay_5

Probably the same reason they think being unable to remote raid the extra difficult shadow raids should be a thing

  25. Oceandove45

It’s so dumb, makes doing these solo raids longer than it needs to be…anything 1-2 star should allow you to solo instantly without waiting.

  26. AngrySaltire

For 1* Raids I spend long waiting for the raid to start than I do on the actual raid….

  27. KlumsyNinja42

What’s funny is that yesterday I got in on a raid I wouldn’t have tried solo but saw that someone else was in the lobby. Ran over and hopped in and we did it together. The one rare moment it worked as intended lol.

  28. ShadowSaiyan91

Takes the piss having to wait 2 minutes to do a solo 1 or 3 star raid, but after 7 years niantic still “recommend” 5 people to do a 1 star raid, bunch of idiots

  29. kreepysol

The most useless feature yet. Can’t even hit ready in a private lobby. Waiting 2 minutes to start a 1* raid that will take me all of 3 seconds to finish. 🙄
When I’m in a raid with a full team, only 1 or 2 others ever even push the button so we still can’t start right away.

  30. Because Niantic is always hard at work…..on their store and things that we don’t ask for.

  31. SignatureShoddy9542

Who the hell still puts money into this shitty game, update after update they’ve shown they don’t give a shit about the community, I’m glad I stopped playing, they don’t deserve anything

  32. brrice182

Because this game is dogshit, and no one would be playing it if it wasn’t Pokémon

  33. ActivateGuacamole

to waste your battery when you still want to keep raiding but you’re at 7%

  34. Cacique3lBravo

It isn’t really that big of a deal now is it? I just impatiently wait as the lock counts down.
