Pokemon Go

Why does this game recommend this one particular Charizard of mine for every single raid, regardless of the Mon’s type?

This was a Yungoos raid. Ive even seen Charizard recommended for Rock and Water type raids.

My guess is because you’ve mega evolved them previously.

  2. Tie-Dyed-Geese

This happens to me with a particular Gengar. It’s because they’ve been mega evolved previously and can be mega evolved again.

Mine loves a low CP shiny Blastoise with sunglasses. I think I might have mega evolved at some point.

He is the main character and you are in his world. Let him cook. It may be inedible, but let him cook.

I haven’t confirmed this, but I feel the game takes weather boosting into account. If you have weather that benefits that mon then it might be getting selected more often

What I’ve noticed with raids is that it will take resistances into consideration, and a fire + flying pokemon has a lot of resistances. It’s very annoying as it’ll recommend a bunch of mons that resist the raid mon, but aren’t powered up + moveset ready, so I gotta go thru and correct a few.

I keep getting that with my Rayquaza that I haven’t mega’d. Like why are you recommending him for this entei raid when I have much better mons/mega’s to use.

it’s because it thinks your charizard is really neat 🙂

The Rothschilds paying Pokémon Go to recommend this particular charizard to you in raids all the time:

Depends on the pokemon you’re raiding. A lot of the time it’ll recommend your most powerful pokemon even if that specific one isn’t considered the best option. Sometimes pokemon are recommend if they can survive the raid too. Default selections are a good way to tell what kinda of move the raided pokemon might have.

My game recommends meloetta, shadow Machamp and primarina, without fail, for every rocket battle

Dude this happens to me too despite being like 2000 CP, and not a Pokemon I’ve mega evolved previously or even could…

My game always recommends me one particular Machamp eventho it has less CP, worse IV and overall lower stats

At some point last year Niantic changed the recommended page to include a random Pokemon that can mega evolve.

I wish there was a toggle as I usually have to manually remove that pokemon since typically its not the right type for the raid.

Mines always an excadrill espeon and gyarados in that order for every thing

    It’s reCHARted.

    I’ll grab my coat.

Have you mega’ed it before, or can you mega it? It is looking at its potential dps as either x or y, would be my guess. Charizard mega’ed is a big overall damage dealer, and against almost anything but water, it hits like a truck, even neutral. My rayquaza is always suggested, even against fairies, because even though it dies quickly (not ideal for time sensitive raids), it does often top 50% damage on my team if I mega it.

My game always has regigigas in my lineup and he’s useful for 0 things.

Mega and probably weather boost. I’m including weather boost because I think this, along with resistances, is why Chandelure is second.

Happens to me too lmao not sure why though

    The recommended are weird

In my scenario I have 3 identical Pokemon (same movesets, all mega evolved previously)

    1 has 100IV L50

1 has 100IV L30ish (I forget exact but for arguments sake)

    1 has 90IV L25ish

Now logically I would assume they would be ranked as I have them listed above. In this scenario the higher CP values also have the higher levels

Yet for some reason which I can not fathom, the perfect L50 is often ranked THIRD in my depth chart for recommended attackers

Unless game is trolling me (trying to lead the non-perfect shiny) I have no idea what it is looking for

The other scenario that kills me is how it handled mega evos

I could have 4 pokemon who can mega evolve previously, yet (for some weird reason) they insist on lobby the one who cant mega evo (either on cool down or not enough extra candy) vs lobby the one who can evo right now for free
