It’s up in the air, I believe they’ve been announced at boosted odds but some reports speculate 1/64. Hard to say, but I’m looking into it.

I won’t list the site but it states Pikachu and Slowpoke are both 1/64.
I’m guessing it was The Pokemon Companys decision since Niantic usually gives base wild costumes the same shinyrate as the normal pokemon.

Something has been up recently. Played for 7 years, I have caught 5 shiny pokemon in a day twice in the last few weeks, 4 another day and then 3 on multiple days. Outside of community days, I have neber caught more than one in a day, and considered myself lucky to get one on two days back to back.
Including community days, I have exactly 400 shinies. Across 7 year, it is roughly 2555 days. So, one day should represent 0.04% of my shinies. This would be skewed way lower if I took out community days. And yet, 5 or 6 days in the last 3 weeks represent around +1% of my total shinies, each. The odds of this, are statistically nil, but yes, not impossible.
One definite thing is that recently, alot of shinies that have inherently boosted rates 1/64 have been out; but the vast majority of the shinies i mentioned were full odds.

They have to be boosted. I caught 5 shiny Slowpoke and 2 shiny Exeggutor in about 90 mins of catching.
