What possible reason is there not to be able to follow a Route whilst in a party?

The game unlocked the party play special research for me, but didn’t render/unlock the “party” tab in the player profile yet. Now I wonder how can I host or join party if the game doesn’t show me the party tab in the first place?!! The special research is useless if I don’t get the party tab in order to be in a party with local players. I hope the game solves this issue.
