I’ve heard this game wasn’t very good compared to the first one…especially in terms of the story…though it does have the Pokémon IP attached to it…so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised it’s still holding onto a top sales spot…

The game is alright. I’m on the last mission. The first game was a strong 6–weak 7/10 for me. The new game will get the same score from me. The visuals are a bit lifeless and inconsistent and the detective sections are very easy (it’s a game aimed at kids after all), but the story is not too bad, the main characters, especially Pikachu, are likeable and the music is nice. It’s a good time. Not memorable, but in this moment, it’s entertaining.
