Hard to put my finger on it. It feels… Thrown together? I think they spent a lot of time making it something “different” and somewhere along the way it lost it’s charm.
I don’t like that Yoshi can’t do powerups.
I don’t like the elephant power up at all.
The badges are a cool addition kinda but I could see some of them as throw away.
The flowers are annoying.
Bowser JR is annoying.
I was hoping for more. I’m disappointed.

I went to the midnight release to ensure I got a physical copy and now I have to wait until 430 this afternoon when my nephew gets out of school to play. He made me promise I would play without him. 🥰

Just discovered that the propad could make music while playing…
Try walking on blocs with notes and listen closely !

I turned it on to play a few levels before bed and ended up going til 4:30 AM and getting up for work at 8 AM.

it’s a bit underwhelming
playing it on my switch also feels very low res… might try emulating it (legally as I’ve purchased the game) for 4K upscaling

I love that Mario can do a trailer that’s 99% just stitched together clips of gameplay. This game looks great. 🙂

Wonder effect spoilers >! My favorite wonder flower moment so far has to be the Piranha Plant parade. So unexpected, so funny, just glorious. Can’t wait to see what else is in store. !<
