Expecting my copy today from Best buy. Didn’t know if I could make it to target in time to get the shadowbox since it’s in store only but would prefer that over there small poster.

I was kinda hoping it was plastic but this ain’t terrible. My target only had 2 left by the time I got there and the Mario was broken on one of them

I was at target when they opened at 8 AM and got mine. The shadowbox is a separate item from the game, but it is free when you buy it in store. Had to stand at the electronics counter for a few minutes while the associate went to the back to get the game because they didn’t have any of the game out. I was probably the first person at that target to buy a copy of the game in store.

I got the game, but Target said they didn’t know anything about the Shadow Box deal. I did call Target, but they warn me that it was for participating Targets only. How was I supposed to know which target is participating? What am i detective Pikachu!

I got one this morning and love it, but I pretty much had to beg the employee to go in back and look for them. He didn’t know anything about it.

I went out and grabbed a copy at lunch and didn’t even see the shadowbox in the bag until I was in the car. I didn’t know it was a thing, I don’t need or necessarily want it, but a cool knick-knack. I might give it to a friend’s kid.

Funny thing is it was known for years that a frame around a screen makes the screen look better, then suddenly all phones want to drop the bezel.
The picture on the Switch looks way better because of how the brain interprets the image within a frame.

I was looking at yours and then mine and then went and looked at the ad, both ours don’t look like the ad. Our Luigi’s aren’t between Daisy and Peach like the one shown in the ad. In fact mine had Luigi turned sideways and he was over the dust clouds Mario is kicking up and covering Mario some.It would seem there’s adhesive on the back, so I carefully peeled my Luigi off and put him where the one in the ad has him. I WONDER if anyone else has gotten ones with other oddities.

I felt so robbed.I showed up to target, I was second in
line, theres was only 5 of us by the time the store opened
which I found a bit weird since at this same target it was
a full line for pokemon scarlet/violet and zelda Totk.
Anyways we walk up to the counter and they say the
shadowboxes have run out from people who purchased
the game at midnight and picked up at 4 AM??I didn’t
even know you could pick up that early.I did not know
that you could still get the shadowbox if you purchased
online and selected pick up in store as I had no problem
getting the bonuses for pokemon and zelda.I guess you
live and you learn lol.

This is awesome, I actually went into my target today to pick up the game but they hadn’t put any copies out. Mine is one of those that is acting like they’re removing all games/reducing the shelves. Not sure what’s going on. There were no workers around so I just went to GameStop to pickup the game.

I preordered a 2D diorama (similar to this) from the UK web store and, going by images alone, it looks a lot better quality but the UK one is one that you pay extra for. I can’t wait to receive it but with a storm going on, no packages are being shipped to where I live rn.
