This guy has 3 different accounts and takes all the gyms in my area, If you try to take one away from him he just golden razz the Pokémon and it literally takes hours for you to take a gun from him. He takes around 10 gyms per day. Crazy!!!

There’s a guy who does that here too. He even knocks others from the same team out of the gyms. On the bright side, you can take comfort in knowing that he’s wasting vast amounts of his time trying to claim dominion over a bunch of virtual pit stops 😂

With those pokes that low, at most it’d take me 10 minutes to take those gyms from him. There’s a cap of 10 berries per hour, make him burn his resources.
I got the same problem but worse, theres a hacker taking up like 3 Gyms on 6 ACCOUNTS and they somehow figured out how to bot them. Whenever i knock their pokemen from the gym and put in my own, ill get knocked back out in pike 10 mins max. And yes, they are hackers, we have a small community of ppl that play. They just showed up some day at lvl 40+.
These posts need to reel it back a little in one regard – i have known a few groups from launch who are all individual players, and they formed their own little “clan” and made similar named accounts. And yes, they joined the same team, and they raid gyms regularly.
Ofcourse everyone here, given that it’s the anonymous internet, will say “no i literally see this guy every time sitting at the gym with three phones, and so do all my friends, it’s 100% a multi account jerk” and thats great and all, but realize that lots of these situations are just regular friend groups who like to play the aggressive gym game. And there’s really nothing wrong with that apart from it being far from classy or sportsmanlike.
I used to get upset by it…but that and all the spoofing means I don’t even care anymore. I just get my 50 and ignore it now. The whole aspect of the game is broken and niantic don’t actually care

Gyms can be frustrating. Last night I took over a gym and 2 minutes later I get knocked out. I see this guy has some of his Pokemon in several other gyms at the park so I take it back again but he proceeds to knock me out again. I decide to just leave and forget about it.

That’s annoying. My kids and I have variants on the same name so I’m sure people think it’s one person. I try to only take one or two of the gyms in our park and when the weather is temperate it’s a nice rotation. When it’s obnoxiously hot (in the south…) or cold sometimes I end up in all three and sit waiting for somebody to please knock me out.
I have a similar issue with local gyms. It’s either a family of 5 or one person with 5 accounts, 3 at level 50. They just won’t let gyms go. I’ve tried early morning, mid day and late night. Without fail, they golden razz every time. They’re stocked with Chansey, Blissey and Wobbuffet all the time so it’s a pain to even fight them. People just gave up. They’re currently in the gym for 15+ days now. What is even the point? They never do the raids.

Well your ability to use trash Pokémon vs his supply of golden has you as an advantage. Make his life hell for an entire day and that will teach him. Change your name also to say EduIsTrash

If your gonna have multiple accounts then so be it. I know many that have at least 2 accounts. But they’re pretty decent mannered individuals and they don’t do the gym hog thing like this.

I feel your pain. There’s a guy here that’s been known to take over all the gyms with multiple accounts. The discord suspects he has at least 200 and he will make accounts that make fun of legit players.

I don’t understand how these idiots are so lazy to even name their accounts something different to cover up their multiple accounts. It always the same name with just different numbers at the end or some slight variation but its always obvious it’s the same guy. Some times they will even dress all their avatars up the same way.
If you can’t beat them, why not join them? If you switch team, you’d have 10 gyms where your pokemons are well protected.
What a loser. I’ve still been following the unspoken 8 hour rule, and this guy is over here breaking all kinds of ethics. How is that even fun?
Pogo is the only game I know that allows trolls and sociopaths to ruin other people’s fun without there being a way for you to avoid it and still play normally in your area. Gym system is just bad design, brings out the worst in some people (or just brings out bad people), and there is no way to opt out of it without spending real money or missing out on important parts of gameplay like getting more poke storage/item bag space, incubators, remote raid passes etc.
I faced this with spoofers years ago, the gym situation was untenable, and my solution was to stop playing and play other games. I came back years later and the spoofers are finally gone due to Niantic finally finding a way to detect modified software, and the game is playable again. Spoofers still exist using hardware GPS solutions but it is nothing like the plague it was. But a maniac like this could ruin it again. If I ever face being unable to use local gyms with moderate effort to get coins due to this kind of bizarre behavior, I will stop playing again and play other games, like before.

Have that here, too. He’s valor, 4 maxed accounts, and I suspect one more. Plus, he has 20 gyms that opposing teams can keep for no more than a very short while, if they even bother. And I dont give him the pleasure of reaping the harvest of that coin. Then his buddies knock me out of my gyms and leave them blank or, if I’m first one in, they battle just enough to knock me out and then leave the rest in. Very childish. Newborn babies are more adult than jerks like this!
Why are people complaining about people taking over gyms? We are supposed to be rivals, we are competing with each other. Just take it back, takes 1-2 minutes, maybe 5 for a full gym that gets spammed with candies.

I’m in an area where I assume they hate Team Instinct because they always knock me out of every gym I take. I went back to the park at 2AM and I took every single gym in the park at 8:00AM they knocked me from every gym😂. They have to be spoofing because there’s no way they woke up at 7 and went to this spot that is a mile away from the road just to knock me from a gym. I just like to imagine they hated seeing Yellow all over their “territory”. They also banned me from their Campfire group😂
Solution: Starve him out of pokecoins, if absolutely nobody takes these pokemon out, this guy will be suffering from his own “success”. If you don’t wanna hope on randoms having more than 5 braincells just report the douchebag to Niantic, having multiple accounts is strictly forbidden
We had one of these guys. Three teams. Controlled the park which was our only place to walk safely. I wouldn’t have cared if he took the other gyms that were outside the park. After 7 months of constant messages to Niantic they finally removed him. I kinda feel good about it because each of his guys aside from his main at level 50, were only level 40-42. Am I bet he didn’t do much of anything with them aside from taking our gyms or coins daily. So I’m hoping when he was banned that he had a ton of coins stockpiled for nothing. If you’re going to spoof, do it discretely .

This happened yesterday in my area except I was the one casually tossing golden razz as him and his spoof accounts are doing their take over. The name was literally 86Spoofers rofl. I have almost 400 golden razz so I just considered it as wasting his time

I play with two accounts because it’s the only way I can raid without buying remote passes but I generally try to only take one spot in a gym unless I’m not in any on either account.

I’m not ashamed to admit I once battled a guy over a gym for a month straight. Every day he would kick me out and then I’d kick him out. Some days it was like 10 times back and forth. I even visited the gym at night out of spite knowing he’d wake up and see his Pokémon got knocked out. So after weeks of this he finally gave up. I wondered what happened to him. Then I saw a new gym nearby at some apartments. It was him! I was so happy to finally win and glad he moved on. Occasionally I do knock him out of his new gym but never put one in. Morale of the story is if you want a gym badly enough you have to make it intolerable for the other person.
