Man retro studios seems to be a bit of a mess to work at and hard to try organizing.
I’ve always found it a bit weird that when it comes to American Nintendo fans they tend to be very focused on retro whenever they are even slightly mentioned, Heck I remember reading an old article talking about when Nintendo bought monoliths soft and seeing a ton of people saying that it was a waste of money abd that that studio will close down in a couple of years. They also said stuff like they should have invested into retro more or starting up or buying a new American studio, and that they should shift toward development in American like sony was doing at the time
Cut today and look at the output that monolith soft has done in comparison to retro, helping with huge games like Zelda, splatoon and animal crossing, all the while working on the xenoblade series and getting it more popular and bigger and with possibly of them launching a new ip around the time of nintendo’s next system. And retro has only released a remaster of the first prime game. It honestly feels like MS is in the position that many of those people thought and wanted retro to be in
I’m not saying that retro is bad at their job, they clearly know what they’re doing and have a lot of talent. I mean I’m not the biggest metroid fan but even I can see how well made the prime series is, They deserve their praises when they do really good. I’m just saying it’s a little weird how different the reality of today is from what people were talking about in the past in regards to this subject

I watched a [Wha Happun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuc8X9qKePo) video about Prime and thought, “Wow, Retro had a rough start.” This video explains even more. They are *incredibly* lucky that their studio have lasted 22 years. Holy shit was Spagenberg a horrible company man.
I really wish we got to see that cancelled game before being pushed into Prime 4, because its 9 years of development just gone.

As someone who’s too lazy right now to watch the video, can anyone tell us what the 8 cancelled games are?
