Live action? Seems like a big mistake. Kinda makes it doubtful that the movie will be any good.
Everybody has been frothing at the mouth for a Ghibli-style Zelda movie. The fact that they are going in a different route already makes it questionable that this will be a labor of love.

Anyone here that is caught off guard or is calling this a bad move on Nintendo’s part hasn’t been paying attention. Nintendo already tried this with Netflix a decade ago and it was going to be live action. Nintendo knows they’ll make way more money if it’s LA and that’s the way they have always intended to do it.
Sorry but anime and cartoon movies just don’t do as well as LA movies. I think this is a positive thing and I couldn’t imagine a Zelda movie as anything else. Making this LA and not animated actually gives this movie a chance of being one of the greatest pieces of cinema ever.

I don’t understand how this can be done via a single movie? To me, it would be like trying to fit the entire Lord Of The Rings trilogy into a single film.
With that said, I have wanted this my entire life and I can’t fucking wait!

A few years ago I would have worried Nintendo would screw this up, but the Mario and Detective Pikachu movies showed they know what they’re doing. This is the perfect time for a Zelda movie.
I just think if it’s going to be live action, they should go all in with 80s style special effects and no CG (think Labyrinth or The Neverending Story).

I’m a massive Zelda fan and the fact this is live action disappointments me beyond measure. There is no escaping it, this is going to be awful. The question is, will it be Halo TV show awful, or Doom movie awful, where Doom at least had some neat moments like the fps part and Halo was an absolute travesty to the IP lol
