Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 57.01 million
Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 43.38 million
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 32.44 million
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 31.15 million
Super Mario Odyssey – 26.95 million
Pokémon Sword/Pokémon Shield – 26.02 million
Pokémon Scarlet/Pokémon Violet – 23.23 million
Super Mario Party – 19.66 million
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 19.50 million

Wow, Fire Emblem Engage actually did even lower than I thought it would do. Talk about a total dud after those high preorders. Says a lot about how word of mouth likely contributed to the lower interest.

The fact that this only covers April to September and that Tears of the Kigndom sold 19.50 million in that time frame is amazing.

So well deserved. Honestly Nintendo was the reason I started gaming in the first place, and they are a major reason I still love gaming to this day. I’m so proud to have had a Nintendo childhood and now adulthood, and their games keep feeling my life with wonder. The Nintendo Switch is my absolute favorite console of all time, and it’s heartwarming to see it do so well. Keep shining, Ninty.

Never really understood why people are surprised when the Switch beats the PS1 for example in sales, Isn’t gaming much much bigger in 2023 than the 90’s. If anything what took the Switch so long.
