Because they give 5x more stardust, so niantic justifes that by making them harder to catch. Pretty stupid considering its a nothing pokemon, but i guess thats there logic.

Each one gives you 500 stardust. I have caught 403 (363 during this event) total of these buggers — and most of the catches with berries/ultra or great ball. At first I was focused on getting enough Candy XL to max my hundo, now I am just trying to see if I can get a shiny. No luck so far!! 😤

These fuckers are hard to catch either way, but I’ve noticed that every single time a Pokémon requires 5+ balls to catch they’re zero stars

Shiny isn’t worth it; the original is slick better, and I got one today after 50 sum checks; it’s just a trophy & the move set isn’t PvP relevant

Games getting very stagnant and boring lately. Festival of light for me is boring and the mons aren’t worth the effort to catch. Hoping if a Christmas event happens it won’t be so lackluster…

20% catch rate for this mf seems very bad! Only literally HALF the catch rate of Paras (40%) and way less than a Shroomish which is sitting at a 50% catch rate they give the same 500 stardust.
