Ok – so If you haven’t played this game at all, you should pick it up. I know it’s kind of the black sheep of the 3D console titles, but it’s a good game. It doesn’t reach the highs of the other games for sure, but still very fun.

PHEW i almost picked this up with one of those coupon things you buy for 100$

The motion controls never worked well enough for me, and the alternative controls are super weird since the game is designed around motion controls. Overall I can’t really recommend this game

If it ever hits $15 I’ll pick it up. I bought it on the Wii at full price and was disappointed. Im willing to give it another go now, but it needs to be cheap.

So, I have the original wii version from my brother, but have never been gotten around to playing this game. Are the quality of lifetime improvements in the switch version worth buying a copy for, or is the original version good enough if I already have it?

Lucky you, I’ve never seen a Switch Zelda game for less than 40,- in EU stores lol
Still haven’t gotten Skyward Sword for this reason, it’s still 50,- no matter where I look

I don’t buy physical games. Tiny cartridges can be lost. Downloads can’t.

Every time this goes on sale at GameStop it’s never in stock around me and shipping ($7.99) is too high to justify the purchase of the deal

Ok – so this game is an actual piece of shit. They decided to give you normal controls instead of motion, but then it handles like Ocarina of Time = no camera movement, only lock on.
The game is also incredibly slow and tedious, like they tried to streamline it with the remake, but I can’t possibly imagine how it played in the original version, as the pacing is still horrible.
If you decide to use motion controls, be prepared to be angry, as some enemies demand rather precise movements and it just doesn’t work that well.
However, the game is very very pretty, like the soundtrack, story ain’t half bad. But it plays like SHIT.

Very torn. I beat this on Wii and had no plans to pick up the remake. Also I’ve already got 2 full games in my backlog, and I’m very tempted to pick up both Wonder and the Super Mario RPG remake…. But $30 is such a good price I might have to do it anyway.

Canada never gets these sales

How are the controls on a Switch Lite? I’m thinking of picking this up for my wife who I’m getting a Lite for Christmas

I found the game enjoyable. I never played it on the Wii. I am not big on motion controls, so I played it on the Switch using the new style controls. The controls were easy to grasp and the game was overall a good time.
Score: B-, 8/10

I really enjoyed this game but, for me, it was too long

Skyward Sword is probably my least favourite 3D Zelda but I still really enjoyed it. It’s basically a 3D successor to the Capcom/Flagship developed Gameboy Zeldas, and if you go into it with that perspective suddenly the structure and scope of the game makes a lot more sense

$30 for a game 12 years old. What a steal!

Little point in sales at gamestop now that they’ve raised their free shipping minimum to $79.

I just want to play it on the switch 😭
I don’t have a Wii U and I never played the earlier games.

Gamestop has a $5 coupon bringing this to $25 if you pickup in store but order online

In previous years GameStop had Nintendo games for $24 on Black Friday. I highly suspect they’ll do this one.

Don’t think you could pay me $30 to play this one again
dawgs912
It’s fairly enjoyable and fun. But the ending drags on much too long. There’s about 3+ hours of back tracking that makes me never want to replay it.

Not my favorite Zelda.
