I thought intelligent systems was first party
astronautducks
could game freak theoretically just release the next Pokémon game cross platform if they wanted to? I assume they have a contract or something preventing that

might be a dumb question, but is there a relationship difference between the three? like 3rd party games get less resources companies to 1st party

This is genuinely one of the most useful posts I’ve ever seen on this sub. I can never keep track of this stuff in my head.

I think Monolith deserves their assistance with BotW/TotK, Pikmin and EPD5 titles mentioned in their list!
Kitselena
It feels weird to not include smash for HAL since they made the first 2
Wrong_Revolution_679
This is actually well made
kukumarten03
Thats not what 2nd party means tho
Turbulent-Can624
It’s a rare high quality, original, and very helpful original Creation!

Sega handles FZero?
Agudaripududu
Eighting?
serenade1
Imagine the employees at Bandai Namco
You could get Nintendo games on your resume and everyone play… or these other games that just exist. Dang I would want to go to the Nintendo studio, though they probably only accept the best for that

Where is Tactics Ogre? When is the next game coming out?
not-steel
Brownie Brown/1up Studio?
brzzcode
there’s a bandai namco studios logo out there. I wouldn’t put epd 1, 2 and 6 as they arent developing games but overseeing and producing them.

Always forget that sega made the f zero games.
Back in the GameCube era was this weird golden age for sega where they made some absolutely kickass games like GX and Monkey Ball. They were also the best with snappy, quick, responsive menus, which is hardly seen nowadays.

I think Nintendo does provide some dev support for Pokemon, irc Mario Club (Nintendo’s debugging subsidiary) is always credited in mainline Pokemon games.

Tragic how Camelot has been reduced to just making sports games, though I imagine by this point many of the staff that was involved in making RPGs have retired

It’s a really nice chart.
You missed Capcom.
Where do 1Up studios, NST and NERD fit into this?
