You know I used to get really mad at these post until my second dark ride raid. I got a shiny and I was like oh OK no I get it.
I got a shiny cobalion form my second raid and it was my first ever shiny legendary. The feeling is unreal

The premium rewards don’t actually effect what you get, encounter wise. It used to give you an encounter after the first win, in fact, I’m not really sure when they changed that, so really, I’d say you’re extra lucky. I actually got all 3 of the swords of justice shinies from gbl rewards, but that was way back in the day, when gbl actually rewarded legendaries regularly enough that people were annoyed about them taking up storage. The good ol’ days lol. Congrats!
