  1. Can’t wait to get my copy. Was super lucky yesterday when I took advantage of GameStop promo where you buy two preowned and get the third one for free. Scooped up Mario RPG, Super Mario 3D World, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

  2. #1 was some weird train board game looking game in case anyone was wondering

Didn’t manage to outsell the original launch of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (335,000). But it’s still the 2nd biggest launch for a Mario RPG in Japan.

So good to hear sales are doing well, it’s well deserved

Nintendo please make a Mario RPG2. Same characters, overall design, tone and style stays consistent. Expand the world and make it harder and longer.

As successful this game is, I’m hard pressed to ever think they can do a sequel at this point.

    1) No idea if Square Enix will have the same level of quirkiness to make one that’s just as good.

    2) If the dinosaurs at Nintendo will allow it without imposing some arbitrary “Paper Mario Origami King” levels of blandness.

This game shows we ***love*** the weird shit and different personalities the extended Mario cast is capable of. Square had it right this entire time.

They should revive M&L RPG, similar production team.

I just finished the game a couple of minutes ago. What a beautiful game, and I’m in love with Geno. I really hope he returns again in future Mario games or something. He has a special place in my heart.

  12. Wouldn’t mind a legit fully budgeted Mario jrpg for switch with a legit story etc

Was visiting Japan at launch and bought myself a Japanese copy and it came with a free commemorative glass plate!

Am I the only one that thought the new combo system and difficulty was insanely underwhelming? Beat the game in 9 hours with short breaks and secret hunting included. Really wished there was a higher difficulty option I basically just sprinted through the game effortlessly
