Priced too high

After borrowing this from a friend who was done with it very fast, I’m shocked they charge 60 bucks for this. It is for sure not a bad game, but it’s the same battle a few hundred times with a bit of running and dialog in between. I had a better time with the “free” Paper Mario on NSO. All Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games are much more creative and offer more variety.
At least offer this for 40, like the 3DS game branch used to be, not 60. Nintendo milking nostalgia like this is sad (and I’m usually the first to go for their remakes, this is one of the few exceptions since I’ve never played it before).

They’ve been charging $60 for new games for 40 years. Time to accept it.
And this game is worth that and more. It’s outstanding.

Game is worth the price any day. It was great back on the SNES, and it’s great and even more accessible now.

I hope the success of this remake leads to Nintendo committing to a true sequel where Geno and Mallow can come back.

Man, the voice in this trailer does not really fit the tone of the game at all.

I just rolled credits and haven’t done all the side content yet but man do I love this game. It came out the same year as Mario 64 and it being such a late SNES release was a little overlooked initially so I’m so glad they went ahead with this remake. I only played the original at my friend’s house when it came out and I remember liking it but not enough to get it myself as I was all in on the Nintendo 64. I played it years later on emulator and the original still completely holds up but the little additions they made to the combat in this one makes it the definitive version for me. Geno is so cool!
