Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
Pokemon GO has just announced the Adventures Abound season featuring the pokemon found in the Paldea Region. This season of GO Battle League features a significant move updates includes nerfs, buffs, and new moves. In total it came with over 150 move updates.
With all these move updates, this video will focus on pokemon that received a significant buff for this upcoming season of GO Battle League either through moves specifically being buffed or access to new moves.
This week it is catch cup. Only pokemon that have been caught during the Adventures Abound season are able to participate in this league. Here are some top teams for catch cup.

Ive been using Serperior in the lead with lanturn and jellicent and its been doing okay for me, charjabug has been my main threat lately but i feel good with this team
No cap I’m nooot playing catch cup I haven’t been that active this season bc my phone broke and it would stay on for 10 minutes then restart. So I have 0 Pokémon that are even decent for the cup. Got a new phone tho, see y’all next season

for anyone struggling i’ve been rocking obstagoon lead with noctowl and gligar in the back and doing pretty well. haven’t had a negative set yet at right around the 2500s. team was cheap too both goon and noc are 10k stardust 3rd charge moves

ive been running shadow Dragonite Lickitung and Aqua tail Quag – its been very successful . Im pretty new to the game so i probably have a better selection for this cup than many people who have veen playing for years
This may be a dumb question but im still learning this game. When you said that the opponent didnt adjust to the fast move team what did you mean. How do you suggest facing a team like this?
Another glassy counter user is Shadow Machamp. Absolutely dishes out fast move pressure and plays a very similar role to shadow Vic. Those cross chops come quick too.

I'm running a halfsies fast damage team with WG Lanturn, Obstagoon, and Altaria to decent effect in the Catch Cup. It's my first season playing PoGo, so I'm enjoying the more level playing field and I've made it up to the mid 2600's. I kinda see Catch Cup as a meta where Medicham takes a much smaller meta share, so I'm not forced to have an answer for the guy.
Running shadow Vic, Araquanid, shadow Granbull.
Although I really like Araquanid, I think my team would be better with a different safe swap.
Ultimately loving the play style of the team, though. Fast move damage, bulky safe swap, fast move damage

I think shadow dragonair lead.
Safe swap medi with power up punch. And then instead of bastiodon have shadow Vick in the back.
People will think "oh that team. Dragonair + medi" and keep their water / fighter/ ground for your basti!

Why should I try to hide using fast Move dmg teams? This league is sooo screwed and running so much fu***d players, why should I care for anything?
Don't worry about the update. I watch it anyway.
What you can do is bring the update info without hype or doomsday speech and be neutral and precise
Arctibax, clodsire and jellicent has been working ok. Arctibax is a pretty decent pokemon honestly.
