It depends what the rest of your roster looks like. As a dragon attacker I think we all have multiple Dragonites, Rayquaza, etc so it’s gonna be pretty useless and redundant. As he probably won’t Crack your top six.
On the ice attacker side, atleast for me ice attackers are a little less abundant, so I could squeeze a baxcalibur into my top 6 ice attackers.
But for all I know you have mega Abamasnow, two shadow Weaviles, two shadow Mamoswine and two Kyurem and there just isn’t space in your top 6

Yes you should, it’s the best non shadow ice type raid attacker and won’t get a comm day in years probably. If you don’t have 6 shadow mamoswines you should absolutely power this up

No. As a rule of thumb, I only use rare candies on legendaries. Everything else can be caught fairly commonly or gain candies from them being your buddy. Also, I wouldn’t evolve until a community day comes around.

Rare candies, yes. They’re easy enough to come by. But large XL? Absolutely not. (That’s how I’d do it anyways)

I wouldn’t use rares, 5km per candy is fine. Save them for legendaries with 20km per candy and walk the crap outta it

Youd have an easier time maxing 1-3 good shadow Mamoswines before you’ll ever earn the candy to max this. These are far more rare but also not as strong. Even Shadow Weavile does better ice damage and they’re uncommon but at least not rare like Frigibax
