    but idrc keep blasting this shit. I would love nothing more than for the remake to be successful enough to get a sequel greenlit with the OG director.

    I kinda hope that if they do, they add just as many wacky unique characters and don’t rely on this game’s characters or designs.

    Being just a different story with the same exact enemies and bosses but maybe in different places wouldn’t be enough to get me to play it tbh.

    With the changes they introduced in the remake, I really hope they do! I absolutely love having access to all party members in battle, and I’d love to see more strategy with it.

    Instead of a super Mario rpg2, how about a super Luigi rpg? In a similar fashion to smrpg, but staring the green brother, on a new adventure. Maybe featuring some familiar locales, and king mallow of course.

    They better have the villain included in more cutscenes instead of only debuting in the final fight. Smithy, despite the build-up, is basically flat with zero characterisation other than being a world-conquering hothead.

    I’d love a new Mario RPG game. I have been disappointed in Paper Mario for a long time. There hasn’t been a good one since 1000 year door. SPM isnt an RPG.

    My pie-in-the-sky dream game is a Super Mario RPG on the scale of Dragon Quest XI.

    Okay, maybe not anywhere near that big. But I’d love to have a more open world with a full-on 3D camera and classic 3D Mario platforming in the overworld combined with turn-based combat encounters. I think that would be incredible.
