I was able to get it done. I only have one friend that plays and she’s not really a serious player so I only use the party feature if I have to get research done. Some of these rewards are good but it’s not worth stressing out over if you can’t complete this research. It will go away after today!

Here is what to do: go to party screen. Start a party and on the screen waiting for somebody to join, quit the app and start it again. For 10 min everything you do is counted towards the party tasks except for finishing actual party task.
Rinse and repeat. Hope that helps
My brother, cousins, and a couple of our SO all play and trade when we get together. We all ignored this addition. Niantic should stop adding these lame features and focus on finishing the dex lol

Easiest way to do this is to have 2 phones.
I was disappointed that the quest finishes with a wurmple in a hat. I love my wormy boi, but I don’t know what I was expecting
Me and my kids do parties together all the time!!! They’re fun!!!
i just use my mom’s phone to complete that quest lol.
