I mean, Mewtwo isnt much like cell imo. He's a mutant clone… Like frieza. He can transform into an ultimate form with overwhelming power that's ironically very diminutive in size…just like frieza. He's known for powerful telekinesis… Like frieza.
I get the Deoxys connection, but eehhhh. Yeah honestly frieza should've gotten Mewtwo and cell should've gotten Zygarde 100% forme.

Mega Mewtwo Y literally is Freeza. I don't think Deoxys fits Freeza at all, I really truly do not. Fits Cell better lol

Love the video, and honestly pronouncing Reuniclus is tricky to figure out. I think it's pronounced Ree-you-nih-cluhs, like the word nucleus, but I could be wrong. Never saw it in the anime to hear how the dub said it but figured others might also be unsure about how to say it

I feel like some story things could be done with Frieza at least having regular Mewtwo as his main and ace in the hole when the emperor is first introduced. Mewtwo would have been pretty intimidating back in his own introduction, being both a legendary and Psychic in a generation when the type had no good counters — matches well with how overwhelming Frieza was in the Namek saga. Plus if Giovanni could get Mewtwo to work for him, I imagine DBZ's own evil mastermind could similarly get the genetically modified kitty under his command. At least until our heroes finally get the upper hand and Frieza, being the sore loser he is, starts berating the pokemon for failing him, leading Mewtwo to decide "screw this" and fly off. No one knows for a while what happened to Mewtwo after that, until Cell arrives and reveals the latest addition to his team, now in the enhanced mega X form.

As a fan of both Dragon Ball and Pokemon, I've been really enjoying these videos. I would like watching more than just 1 more part in this series, but if you feel like ending it in part 4, that's ok too! can't wait to see the next part!
Honestly, wonder what happens if you drop Pokemon into dragon ball and give them Ki as another way to train. Like if they were as common as they were on Earth to the point normal humans could casually have them-

Hi! This is unrelated, but I had to ask someone. Wouldn't Yamcha have fit into Mr. Satan's role perfectly? Continuing to win tournaments and train. The joke could have been he was the strongest on Earth even though he is the weakest Z fighter. All I am saying is, it would have been cool if he had convinced the world to give Goku energy for the spirit bomb. Lots of cope in this post. He was my favorite for so long.
Part of me thought Sawk and Throh for Zarbon and Dodoria. Tall blue guy, short red guy. One's more physically tough for brute strength, the other is more strategic.

I think while the yummy Cute and tanky Slurpuff does work, I kind of wished Buu had Ditto. Ditto, much like all the forms of Buu, Copies his opponents, literally transforming himself to do it as he consumed them. Infact, instead of a Legendary Trio, because they actually don't fit him at all, Give him Ditto (Changing and copying), Swallot (Tanky Poison Type who has an entire move set about gulping down food to heal or attack), and if you really want to stick it as him being the biggest and baddest, Give him Necrozma. Infact let him cheat and let him pop out Dusk Mane, Dawn WIng or Ultra Necrozma randomly.

I still think Frieza should have gotten Mewtwo. Similar appearance and Frieza using a genetically modified Mew for his own ends is very fitting for the emperor. Zygarde fits cell way better. Both are made of cells and Zygarde is normally seperated into cells and scattered throughout, easy to spy on the Z warriors dont you think?
Buzzwole is also perfect for Cell on one other aspect not touched upon when talking about it: It's basically an alternate-universe Imperfect Cell. There's even a scene in the Sun and Moon anime where Buzzwole drinks a Snorlax!

You really gave the DNA-themed Pokémon to the character with just a passing hint at possible genetic engineering, instead of the explicit genetic amalgamation? Come on…
I get wanting to defy expectations, but you can bring just as many arguments for swapping Deoxys and Mewtwo. Especially since the latter wasn't spliced from multiple sources, but an enhanced clone of one specific species. If you wanted to go the chimera angle, you should have picked Silvally for Cell.

I feel bad that Masako's twists are falling flat for me since almost everything I know about Pokemon is through Pop Culture Osmosis.

I'm surprised that buu didn't end up with Ditto. A pokemon that transforms and uses its opponent's moves and abilities does tie in well to Super Buu's absorption technique.

Again going off of what you said about Freeza and his kin using technology to enhance themselves, I could see him genetically modifying his Pokemon to aesthetically fit his army.

I think the only Pokémon that’d fit boo would be mewtwo and ditto (maybe mew). Mewtwo bc boo kinda is a Pokémon itself, boos egg gives me Pokeball vibes and mewtwo is the only Pokémon that was also a trainer. ditto is just a pink blob (which is basically what boo is) also it is hinted very closely that it’s a failed clone of mew the ancient Pokemon and mew because it’s ancient like boo (that’s thin so only maybe)
