I live here LA and was hyped about the possibility of us FINALLY getting an event here. Im definitely gonna go, but this announcement was mid. I already got a level 50 Dialga and Palkia so no need for more XLs. Really hope there’s more coming. Only thing that stuck out for me so far is Pachirisu spawns so I can max out my lucky hundo.
I live in Torrance and I can travel by bus/rail to Pasadena easily

The second you step a foot in LA is the second you forget your gender. That place is garbage.
The 108 pokestops scattered around LA is confusing. LA is huge and annoying to travel around and we gotta seek out stops throughout the city?? And Orange County is like 45 minutes from LA😵💫😵💫😵💫
Hyped for the event personally, live in a city bordering Pasadena so trip will be simple and also the event is on my Bday
If I go, it will be from peer pressure from raid chats and discord groups to get some old lucky trades done (finally.)

None of these in-person events are ever close enough for me to even consider attending. I'm not taking the time and money to plan a long-distance trip to travel.. for a mobile game. Most of what happens at these events happens in the global version anyway. Only in-person exclusive for this event I'm gonna feel bad about missing is the easy encounters with the lake trio. Other than that, I'll just wait a week for the global version and grind it as hard as possible to fill in more of my Sinnoh Dex.

Since i cant leave my country, im rather doing global sinnoh tour and buy the shiny shaymin masterwork research instead, and since the global sinnoh tour ticket is free, just like what they do in hoenn tour, it make the masterwork research cheaper than kanto and johto
My group and I are pretty hyped!! I'm local so I'm honestly just happy that I can finally attend a major event in person.

Hey man I know you’re in Alaska and your situation is wildly different in that state than north Michigan where I am, but there’s a lot of fantastic dog Nannie’s that are licensed around me if my parents can’t take my dog. I never leave him almost ever, but when I do it’s usually great with the local Nannie’s around here. Found one on google awhile ago and she’s awesome man. Just an idea for you over your traditional kennel. It’s cool to see how much you care about your dog man! She’s awesome.

Considering you only can get 1 day, not sure it's worth it. Plus, this is the weekend…in LA…lots of $$$ for 1 day. Well at least LA is getting an event, sure you earned it.

You should come down man. There isn’t too much advantage trying to stay close to the rose bowl. It’s in the middle of a residential area so stay wherever and take and Uber in. My Pokémon group is all hating on the event but they all end up going in the end so just go man!
I'm not going to LA because I have other travel plans this year. This is the same bare bones lay out they gave us last year for the global tour and we are not going to get much in the way of info for the global tour until just before the in person, or even after. The Sinnoh dex was a whole lot of extra evolution stages so the wild spawns aren't fantastic. I would do the extra day just for the extra shinys and see if I can complete my shiny sinnoh dex, I would also do the egg one because hatching the shiny regionals, and having a 2nd attempt to do so would be my main focus. The event would still be fun, if you truly enjoy pokemon go, but with the global event the week after there's not a huge incentive to do in person this time. Honestly if everyone avoided the in person Sinnnoh tour and made a statement to Niantic to keep the go tours global only that would be awesome.

If you actually click and check the exact dates of the Tour on the hotel website. The prices go up by $150-$200 dollars. It’s insane lmao
When I go to these events, I get one of my friends to dog sit while i’m gone, I would highly recommend it

LA is a 5 hour drive for me and I got friends in Holloywood I can stay with if I do end up going. It'd be cool to do cuz it's close but it doesn't seem like the rewards are worth it.
first in person event, i'm so excited theres finally something near me! im lvl 40 so im excited to grind
