  1. Bare in mind, there is no native PS5 version of Knight. The video just has the PS4 version running on it.

  2. Well, how the hell did MK1 turn out the way it did when WB’s other ports for the year have been way more solid?

Like, I really want to know what happened and why it launched in such a rough state, it should have at least caught a delay. It’s not like it would have thrown off the season anyway as Switch didn’t get Invasions until the first performance patch.

    It’s just weird.

With the exception of the frame rates on the driving sequence it looks pretty effing good. At least definitely better than what I saw with Hogwarts legacy in the comparison.

  4. Jcavin86

This looks like a pretty good port to me. I’m excited.

    Pretty much what I expected.

It’s so fun to see what an Xbox 360 port of the game would’ve looked like.

I also wonder if they’re making it for Switch now because Switch 2 is being made, so that when it comes out they can go “Yo, look, now it looks proper.”

If anyone is interested and has a ps4/ps5, the trilogy is on sale right now on the ps store for 5.99

  7. Does this version let you play as the new character, Man?

  8. ElPinacateMaestro

As soon as I saw Joker I busted out laughing omg

But then I looked at the rest of the things and…. I’m actually quite impressed, It does look way better than I expected by that first Joker shot.

It’s kinda weird how you can see the horizon in the distance and how they got rid of the mist, that could have helped to cover a lot of low LOD, but I’m guessing it worked as a particle effect in the original game and those are incredibly taxing.

Playing on handheld mode will be the best option for this title.

Are the other batman games on switch?

Honestly for a 8 year-old gaming console, and portable at that, it’s actually quite impressive how well it’s able to hold up to newer consoles. Sure, the anti-aliasing and shadowing is comical when doing a side by side comparison, but that would be like comparing a 2008 Toyota Camry to a 2016 model and picking apart the differences.

Not bad for the switch, does it hold 30fps in game is the question.

  12. It honestly looks pretty ok all things considered, but no one in their right mind should ever buy non-exclusive games on the switch unless it is their only option.

  13. Spooky_Blob

The fps seems pretty rough from what I’ve been reading

  14. D1rtyH1ppy

I bought the PS4 version two months ago for $1.50

I always wanted Batman Begins the game on the Switch

  16. Cardboard_Waffle

Kinda looks like if they made the game on PS3, which is to be expected. If the game runs decently, good on them. I’m pretty surprised.

  17. Please stop comparing the Nintendo Switch to more technologically advanced/sophisticated consoles. It’s not a fair comparison. Expecting the Nintendo Switch to perform as well as (or better than) the PS5 is not a reasonable expectation.

The main purpose to porting our favorite titles onto the Switch is to be able to have them on-the-go. If you’re expecting that these games will perform on your Switch like they do on your PS5, you’re going to be disappointed every time.

I’m hyped for the first timers and those who chose the Switch as their way to play, hope they enjoy, but I’ll be sticking with Origins on PS3.

Personally, I enjoyed the story of City but hated the Gotham, and I couldn’t get into Knight. Not worth a buy from me.

  19. DreadnaughtHamster

    This is surprisingly pretty good.

  20. If you have the more powerful platform to play it, by all means play it on that.

If some people are Switch console, only. It’s probably nice to just be able to play them?

I recently bought the Witcher 3 on switch (I main it on Ps5) and yeah, it’s obviously not as pretty on handheld. But getting to play it whilst my daughter falls asleep, or in bed with the wife, I dunno… I’m just grateful I can (no, I don’t own a PS Portal and don’t stream to my phone).

Switch 2 will be fantastic, I think. A real boost graphically, as the concept still seems solid imo.
