Small rant: I only play this game for GBL. We are a bit over 3 hours into the new GBL season and I already did as many battles as I could; I had to stop due to queue times.
I am not interested whatsoever in the “Go” aspect of the game. All I’m interested in is to get good PVP IV Mons that would allow me to complete at a decently high level.
I absolutely love the Master League and I hate what Niantic did to remote raids. I even stopped playing for 4 months after they butchered remote raiding, as a sign of dissatisfaction.
I returned to the game for GBL but my play style is definitely not the same anymore. I did not purchase a single pokecoin ever since I returned and I barely spend any time in the game outside of doing my sets.
I have a demanding job and a family to take care of, plus I live in a rural area. Remote raiding mostly around midnight was the only way for me to get my hands on Legendary’s. Not having options to choose from when going into the Master League definitely feels like a disadvantage.
But hey, if Niantic is happy that I reduced my play time and cut my spending to 0, I’m happy too. Can’t possibly be the only one in this position, right? Right?!
