What do the different circles under each Pokemon mean? Ex. I got this screenshot with a whirlpool under the bunnelby, a sort of ripple circle under the passimian, and a sort of radar flashing circle under the lechonk…??

I have no idea if I’m right, but I’ve figured that the solid glowing circle is your “daily” spawn. It will be there all day, even if you leave and come back 12 hours later it’ll be right there(if it’s not shiny refreshing it won’t give you another chance at it being a shiny). The wooshy looking circle is weather boosted, you can tap the weather icon in the top right of your screen to see which pokemon types will be boosted. Lastly, the 3 lined circle is a standard non-boosted wild spawned pokemon. There’s also the incensed pokemon that have matching powder circles to the color of the incense you’re currently using.
The whirlpool one represents a weather boosted Pokémon. Not sure about the other two though
It’s to show the type of spawn. The swirl around Bunnelby means it is currently weather boosted. The LeChonk is your daily spawn for logging in, and the passimian is just what a regular spawn looks like.
Bunnelby is weather boosted
Lechonk is daily spawn
The Passimian is normal spawn
White pulsing ring- “first” spawn of the day
Whirlpool- weather boosted
Blue ring- daily incense
Pink ring- standard incense
No ring- standard spawn
Meltan and gimmighoul have animations specific to each of them alone

People notice things like this and when I realized I’ve never even noticed that there are circles underneath them at all it made me wonder how many things in life I neglect to be aware of that everyone else is.
