No, he’s smart because he knows trading changes ivs so trading shundos is useless
No he is not. Giving away something you cherish has to be voluntary; and making him do it when he is reluctant is mean and cruel.
Just be patient and you will get your shando one day.
the IVs reset during a trade so i’d say he’s entitled to his pokémon. most likely won’t remain a shundo for you.

Mean? No, he can do whatever he wants with his Pokémon. Is it a weird hill to die on? Probably. I trade my fiancée all my shinies because I don’t want them unless they’re PvP relevant but to each their own.

It would make more sense to get him to trade you a shiny with bad IVs, that way you might actually get a shundo.
Trading shundos basically guarantees you won’t get a shundo but he certainly loses one.
You only want to trade something like this if you have a lucky trade queued up. Do you?
