Why would someone doubt this? It’s not that extraordinary of a feat. The mega was already released so 1/64 odds, better than most wild encounters.

How does someone get the Salamance leveled up from 692cp to 2000+ within 24hrs of starting. That doesn’t make a lot of sense to get that many candies

My sister in law got a shiny absol within 10 mins of re-downloading the game. I dragged her ass out to walk around and catch Pokémon, I didn’t have an absol yet and so we went and got it and hers was shiny.
Almost did a murder there.

My daughter’s first real catch was a shiny lapras. She caught her starter and we went after a lapras I saw on the map, hers was shiny mine was normal. I still don’t have a shiny lapras to this day and frankly it feels a little unfair at this point.

Definitely happens. There’s a theory that new players or player who haven’t played in a long time have very good RNG to get them hooked on the game. But don’t think it’s been confirmed

I think the game favours new players
I downloaded it two months ago and I’ve found more shinies than my friend who’s had the game for 7 years (16-5) (including a shiny spinda which i’m super happy about)

Back in 2019 giritina’s shiny just released, I got my girlfriend to join pokemon, it was her first raid ever, first legendary, & she got a 14/15/15 Shiny giritina.
