The new season of Timeless Travel has been announced with buffs to pokemon like talonflame, toxicroak, and azumarill and nerfs to steelix breaking swipe and medicham. Here is a full analysis of the new buffs, nerfs, and pokemon with new moves.

So how important are stats and shadows to this team? I'm a bit new to the PvP side of this game and I'm curious because I don't really think I have a lot of good ones for it
Very briefly, I only have one skarmory and it's stats are 11/12/12, I've got a good lickitung with stats of 8/13/14 but not enough candy to max it out, and I've got a regular 1/15/14 quagsire and a 11/13/13 shadow quagsire that I was able to get frustration off of this Halloween
Will the team work just fine despite that? Should I go for building this team or should I just look for other options and wait to see how the new meta shakes out?
With ultra league coming tomorrow, how necessary do you think it is to have good IVs on xl Pokémon. For example I have a lucky registeel that’s I can easily build but not too sure if it worths it since it’s a 12-15-14
How about a cheap meta video? As someone who would rather invest heavily in pve, I've had fun making teams that don't use a lot of resources (e.g., non XL, 10-50k move cost). Currently at 60% win rate in GL
Do you have a beginners guide/intermediate tips. I got my 500 wins last season but ended at Ace rank only. I feel like I use good teams but sometimes make dumb decisions.

For the first week of OGL, I've been doing pretty well? Surprisingly? Been basically one-tricking with Skarmory, Whiscash and Kingdra. This team keeps giving me Skarmory mirror leads, Dragonair and a mudboi in the lead slot. Way more positive sets than negative ones. Also tried a wild Probopass, Jumpluff and Emolga set, and I went 4-1 with that just to kind of fight off all the Talonflame/Lanturn core. Smack Down Chesnaught as a safe swap also got me some wins because I bring it in and a Talonflame gets SD'ed. Been kind of burned out lately after playing all of my sets for the first 5 days. I might go into Ultra just for a change of pace, then come back for Retro GL with mindless Charm/Confusion teams.

Hi Dan, why dont you create another shadow Quag? I have bunch of them, they were everywhere. Anyway I am having great fun playing GL now, feels new and refreshing. Once I get to ELO and I start meeting top people again I will probably run meta, but so far I can run whatever and it kinda works. Skarmory is fun, it just need something that cowers Lanturn and Fire, so mudboy is great choice. I also have great fun with Toxapex, jabbing down those Vigoroths

Mudbois seem to be a safe lead , didn’t see much grass types in the lead so far, ( only rank 7 ), but my lanturn lead is really weak vs swampert leads, and my backline talon/medi also don’t wanna see it so likely
