7 eggmon duos for Legendary Gauntlet 12 [Pokemon Masters EX]

Relatively easy rotation this time around so there’s a lot of possibilities for duos with eggmons. A lot of these are just solos made easier by the extra teammate, but some (the Uxie ones mainly) really rely on the eggmons’ utility to see the clears through.

Here’s how each battle went and the sync grids used:

I’ve become a new fan of Support Igglybuff’s utility these past two Gauntlets. It takes a page from Drake and provides a helpful combo of paralysis and defensive buffs, which is exactly what SS Wally needs to push through Uxie. He also appreciates the extra HP from the theme skills. If the last sync crit it would’ve KOed Uxie but alas.

I’m ending up using most of the egg eeveelutions to make some solos easier, and I thought it made sense to pair it with Bianca so I don’t have to fish for too many Psychic Terrain MPRs. Espeon’s good-enough gauge also let me forego Fast-Track on Bianca for Grass Guard, which really helps her survivability.

A lot of the 60% flinch eggmons can work well in duos against Entei – you just have to account for their poor bulk. Gauge is also an issue for most of them, but Sprigatito is a notable exception as it can get to +4 speed and has Move Gauge Refresh 2. It’s weak to Fire though, so it’s paired with Courtney to make short work of the stage.

This was originally the usual Anni Raihan-Dratini run, but I was getting to low health rather quickly with that pair, so I swapped Dratini out for Support Chansey instead for the potions. Chansey has Healthy Healing and First Aid 2, so she can afford to give both of her potions to Raihan.

Silver can technically solo Bulu but no way do I have the time to try to pull that off lol. So I paired him with Support Tangela, who has insane recovery thanks to the constant sun and Grassy Terrain. Since Silver’s gridded for Solar Beam, Tangela’s Attack buffs also help boost his sync move.

Aaron’s Entei solo seemed like a doozy so I just paired him with Tech Growlithe to get it over with. i also gave Growlithe Defense Crush 2 to make Aaron’s attacks hit harder. I clicked Heal Order too early in that last part but thankfully Aaron still pushed through.

One of the first duos I ended up reusing across different Gauntlets was Lucian-Starter Pikachu, which I first brought against Uxie. But in LG10 I ended up swapping out Pikachu for Support Chansey so I could use Pikachu for a team comp that needed its Potion MPR.

For this rotation, I ended up swapping Chansey out for Tech Pinsir since Lucian actually doesn’t need any potions to survive this stage. I went with Pinsir since its own regen lets it survive until Bar 3. I’m pretty sure this can be lowered to an even less valuable eggmon though – Lucian’s just that good haha.
