I didn’t realize 360 was that high up. Man did Microsoft screw up keeping the momentum into the next generation.
Sad that the 360 sold that well, what a piece of shit.
In terms of worldwide sales, the Switch is now 22 million behind the DS and 23 million behind the PS2. To put that into perspective, the Xbox Series X/S lifetime sales so far is 21 million, which is also around what the Gamecube sold in total. Do we think the Switch will catch up and sell a whole Series X/S worth more by the time their next system comes out?
I’ll be so excited if it reaches #1 worldwide. Just never thought I’d see a dedicated gaming machine sell like this again.

I remember after the WiiU, people got squirrelly as if Nintendo was in its death throes. This was further solidified (especially in reddit comment chatter) when they merged their Console and handheld divisions. Little did they know that Nintendo was just gearing up for something really great, because they know what the hell they’re doing.
Good news, but I hope we hear *something* about the next console. Even Nintendo’s own in house games are starting to feel the limitations. Bowsers Fury was limited to 30fps in handheld mode. That shouldn’t have to happen.
