I’m playing Pokemon Masters, a mobile gacha game set on the island of Pasio. Collect many Pokemon waifus and husbandos and participate in unique battles involving sync pairs.
It has been a very long time since I’ve recorded a Pokémon Masters video with the screen recording on my phone. I don’t do this anymore because the video quality sucks, but I did it this time because I was on the toilet and was just to excited to play this fight.
TMI I know, but yes, I was surprised today with another Super Serious battle. Didn’t see it announced on Serebii, so just learned about it 30 minutes ago. After a few battles, it seems like the best thing you can do is to maintain field zones. It says in the tips that the opponent needs to be affected by a field zone, but any field zine that affects both sides seem to work. As a result, units like Anniversary Red, Neo Champion Calem, Irida, Sygna Suit Kris, and Sygna Suit Morty work well. I even saw a Bertha clear in the in-game cleared teams section, which I tried but to no avail.
I decided to go with triple electric Kanto, which is one of the best teams in the game. But since my Anni Red is only 1/5, I don’t have much Electric Field uptime. While this fight took me the least amount of tries out of all the Super Serious battles (maybe 3 times total), my clear was way closer than it looks. If I didn’t defeat Darach that turn, it was over. It was pretty cool I can beat a Super Serious battle with a 1/5 master fair unit. But my team also has Ash, which by the looks of the resent reruns, I don’t think he will ever come back. I really hope he does though.
I also noticed that Darach gets flinched. I wonder if flinching is a viable strategy in this fight. I was going to use that triple finch team I used in CS the other day (Costume Zinnia, Champion Serena, and Champion Blue), but that team doesn’t have enough field effects. Maybe one day if the main weakness of a Super Serious battle is flinch, I can pull out the mega flinch team.
