The routes was easy and fun, the party challenges is something I really don’t care for, over the course of when it was launched to now, I did manage to finish the first page of tasks, but only because there was another party research after it for getting Party Hat Wurmple that I wanted to finish in the “Today” section.
I haven’t claimed the page 1 of “Welcome Party” and I really don’t care if it stays unclaimed. The rewards don’t seem good enough for me to care to team up with someone to do 90 more party challenges; though, if you did want to do it, a community day seems like a good time to plan to knock them out.
Routes as a mechanic is nice enough for me, since it does give me additional items and progress on my daily Scatterbug grind (I can open 30 gifts this season/event + 1 more from Mateo) every day. And routes have the chance to give me an Elite Fast TM or Rare XL candy. Which alone makes the feature worth the limited investment, but I don’t go out of my way for routes. There’s a simple route I can take from my work during lunchtime if I want to when I’m in the office, and a handful of routes near me when I am restocking items. I’d never go out of my way to just grab a route.
As for Party Play, the damage buff comes in handy if I want to duo a particularly difficult raid with a friend in person, but beyond that, I see no reason that I’d care to grind at it.
More power to the people who enjoy it though. I like the routes! They’re fun and a nice “do this while you’re doing your other stuff” thing. Also like getting the Zygarde cells for my Zygarde.
Goofed around with the party play for a bit and it was useful for the raid buff, but the challenges are fairly meh, and the rewards seemed pretty lacklustre.

The Party challenges are ridiculous 3 pages after this one have complete 30 challenges on EACH PAGE, 100 total challenges to complete the research. So stupid considering the rewards are dumb as hell. Catch 35 pokemon, here’s 4 poke balls smh here’s 400 dust for 30 excellent throws

I completed the part challenge one, but the Mateo stuff can kick rocks. Niantic never approved any of the routes in my daily playing routine, so I’m stuck at being force to go out of my way to do one or hopefully being somewhere random that has one I can do real quick. It would be one thing to get a rejection notice with a reason, but I’ve been left on read for months now.

I wish routes could be done with the game minimized..I want to do other things and I know the route cause it’s something I have walked a ton. I shouldn’t have to have the game open on my main screen to do it. If that was how it was done I would do them more. I also want to play monster hunter so I can’t while routes are being done.

Pro tip for the party one if you want to get them done a little quicker. If you form a party with 2 people and pick a task you can then add 2 more people and still have the same task. It’s slightly annoying constantly remaking the party, but you can get more tasks on average done this way since 4 people catching 20 etc goes a lot faster than 4 people catching 40.

I got really lucky with routes because the park across the street from my house has a route that is entirely drivable with 3 gyms to hit but I’m new to the area and know absolutely no one so the party challenges will stay forever I’m sure.

The Party quest was the worst one I’ve seen to date. Is a quest you CAN complete in one day but my god is time consuming and annoying and the rewards are awful.
Kinda like Paldean Adventure and that one was time gated for nothing…

I finished the route one. I frequently take walks around my block and there is a pokestop at the intersection, so I just created a route on my normal walking path, makes it pretty easy

Routes are so easy, I did like 6 in one day last week. If they all suck in your area just make one that suits you. The party challenges are garbage and not worth it.

There’s a route in a park about 15 minutes away I visit once or twice a week to refill from Pokestops (I’m rural and there’s nothing closer). It would be perfect, as the route follows the exact path I go through to hit all the nearby stops. But every single time I try to play a Route on it, it instantly pauses and says it can’t identify my location.
I don’t think I’ll ever finish the route research.

Party one sucks it may get done in a few years. Routes are actually very easy an only need to do it one time I do them driving half the time. Dont matter how fast you do it just gotta stop at the end .
