Oh nice, they’re adding new levels and worlds with their own gimmicks! That’s awesome. I replayed the original recently, but I would love to try them out.

The casual mode being added is also neat. Some might think it might be overkill, but this game is legitimately hard to 100% on GBA, simply because of how fast you have to move through levels and the fact that every enemy and obstacle can insta-kill you.

I dont think I’ve played the original, but this looks awesome! Think I might pick it up!

After playing Mario RPG, it feels like they used the Smash Bros Ultimate model for this game, and it’s weird

  4. How good are the puzzles here? Is it super easy, so much so it’s mind numbing?

And it looks to me there are many timed puzzles, where you have to hurry once you press a p-switch. Lots of trail and error restarting levels?

As a guy that has played a lot of Mario Maker, seems like many of these puzzles could have been made in there.

I love all these reboots there doing with Mario.

So new worlds huh? Seems like a test for a new entry for the old formula (you know the one who wasn’t a lemings game) fine by me but i think people would be more interested if it was a full new game with the original dk 94 and MvsDK gameplay instead of thinking it’s just a remeake

  7. > 130 levels

That’s a sizable amount of extra content, as the game originally has 90 regular levels and 12 expert stages. Basically 4 whole extra worlds.

Played/tested the original, game is fantastic. Can’t wait to play it

Even more of a complete package than originally expected, what a nice surprise. People are going to be surprised if this is their first experience with the franchise or first time with MvDK, because subsequent games weren’t able to capture the fun this one had.

My hope is for Donkey Kong ’94 related DLC courses/worlds. That game seems lost to time and has some of the best puzzles in any Mario or Donkey Kong game ever made. Part of it is the fact that, from the outside, it seemed like any old Donkey Kong arcade-type game, but it had tons of depth and challenge.

Nintendo is gonna clear my pockets first mario wonder, then rpg make now this and very soon the Princess peach game. Have mercy on my wallet!

Buy them all, buy them all, buy them all!

  12. I was iffy on the price initially, but man I can’t lie all the extra content they’re adding is really enticing.

Glad they are putting more content into the remake. Will make me consider purchasing the game now.

I remember the Gameboy game for this.

The controls were extra tight and snappy, speedrunning through the levels made mario super cool. Puzzles were pretty difficult for my 6 year old self, but still a ton of fun.

A little confused as to why the Player 2 character in local Co-op is Toad. Is Nintendo still bitter about The Year of Luigi?
