YEEEEEESSSSSSS
Downloading right now!
still think they should just let you buy the game without having online/expansion. i’d easily pay $30 for a download
THIS IS HUGE
I’ll actually be trying both of these for the first time. Can’t wait to dive in!
Now if we can get a port of a certain air pirate game, the Switch will be the perfect handheld console.
First time. Starting tonight
What kinda game is this? Always heard good things about it
Been waiting for these! But it doesn’t show up yet for me. I tried forcing updates, anyone have other ideas?
They’re setting you up for golden sun 4 launch day game for switch 2.
See y’all later. Going to fire up the Switch!
As happy as I am these are finally out, I’m also sad cause they were a part of a running joke in my friend group, where my 1 friend would be like I wish so and so was out, and then we’d say “oh it’ll release the same time as Golden sun releases on switch” cause he couldn’t wait for these games.
Never paid for the Expansion thingy, tempted to get it just because I always wanted to play these.
Is it okay to just do The Lost Age? Played the first as a kid but never beat it , feel like just doing the second
Have fun with these two great RPGs, everyone!
Golden Sun was my first traditional JRPG as a child (not including Pokémon or Legend of Zelda), alongside Phantasy Star Collection also for GBA.
Golden Sun still holds a very high position in my personal RPG rankings even after having so much more experience with the genre now as an adult. It’s just super duper good, and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me as well…
I’m not buying the expansion pass because I already own most of what it offers anyway on physical GBA and N64 carts, (and digitally I already bought these two games on Wii U VC), but still, this is indeed a momentous day for Golden Sun! It’s about to get a much wider audience and fanbase!
when does it come out in NA? still dont see it up
Nice! I’ve always wanted to play these, but haven’t had a chance until now. I’ll have to add them to my backlog of RPGs I need to finish, haha.
Wish you could just buy these
Kinda wish I could play these without having to pay a monthly fee.
I adore these games since the day they were released originally on the GBA, they’re so fun and I could write a paragraph on just how fantastic i think they are. If you haven’t played them and are even little interested please play them! They are classics! (Wish I had 50 dollars to get the expansion plus )
I never played Golden Sun before so I’m trying it now. The early 00s GBA vibe though gets me very nostalgic
I’ll be checking this out later. Been on a binge of playing older RPGs I missed out on, (.hack right now), and this is now on the list.
Finally!
Just let me buy it.
Damnit I hopped on to play earlier and it wasn’t there. Then I rewatched the trailer and it said the 17th. It’s 10:35pm on the 16th for me right now. So I guess I had to wait a bit longer. But I don’t want to start it up now. Lol I guess tomorrow it begins for me! Just in time. Maybe I can push thru them before Unicorn Overlord comes out!
I’ve never played these … am I missing something ? There’s a huge hype around these games
Sweet, didn’t expect them to drop both at the same time! Played but never beat the first one and haven’t touched the second. Glad they added these classics, Switch really is a great JRPG system.
Is this real??? I don’t have access to my switch at the moment 😭
Just checked it out on YouTube…
*Holy crap those graphics, that visual design!*
It’s not something I’ve seen well replicated anywhere else — a sprite based moving camera system that feels as dynamic as the better cinematic camera systems in 3D games.
I remember the game being heavily advertised as the “killer thing” for the Gameboy Advance when I was a kid. Now I understand why. The game looks incredible in motion.
I’ve never been a big RPG guy, but I remember really enjoying these back in the day.
This was definitely the tipping point for me in getting the expansion pack 🤘
Now even more people will recognize my username.
