they do this for spotlight hours sometimes too. I swear this past vanillite spotlight hour we had in dec they were boosted. I got 2 during that and i also think pumpkaboo spotlight hour back in oct was boosted cause i also got two

People are saying they would boost shiny Throh or S A W K, but I see something like Mankey or Machop being boosted, mainly because their shinys were released together, and I would be fine with that (personally besides them in my shiny Dex, I would rather have shiny Mankey or Machop over Throw and S A W K!)

Darumaka has always been 1/64 shiny rate, I’ve gotten it randomly and seen others get it many times prior to that event
50+ machop&mankey 5hour today no shiny,it’s more like boosted as in more spawns, was at work fairy event and only got 1spritzee
I've only been playing for 6 months, but I average 4 shinies a day, most of the time they're in my yard lol.
I only got one red darumaka shiny, but got 5 or so shinies of the white one
