Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
This week is open ultra league and the Hisui Cup. The Hisui Cup is a 1500cp league with pokemon from the Hisuian Region
Today we are looking at the updated PVPoke Rankings and Top Performers and Teams for Hisui Cup.

I was having good consistency and climbing in hisui cup. Then all of a sudden someone decided it would be a good idea to promote double shadow bite in the back, its literally impossible for my team to win against it. Seeing it on at least 2 teams every set so switched my team slightly to have an answer in the back and now I haven't seen it for 2 straight sets. I hate this game sometimes.
Don't have any Gastrodon that are high ranking for GL, but I have a really good Gligar that needs leveling. Here's my problem: it's rated higher as a Gliscor than a Gligar, but not by much. Would you evolve it and use it for this cup and possibly the future, or keep it as is for general GL use?
Togekiss has been my MVP in this meta. It beats Gastrodon, Gliscor, bite Drapion, bite skuntank, fighters, and it does well in neutral match-ups. It needs shields though.
I think tang growth is also quite save? Rock slide and grass? Anti drifblim and anti gastroson? Neutral vs basti? Meh vs the fighter but these are sooo glassy
I drink to my 2nd job listening to Dan am at the point of him mentioning that he build a fast move team I got a smile in my face! We had the same idea but in his case a little different… I am running Basti, Wormadam Trash, Gastrodom… the thing is Wormadam WALLS almost everything been a Bug= resis Ground/Fighting, been a Steel = Resis Ice, Rock, Poison, normal ( Body S) oh well you get the point! Lol
Man you know how much Iron head do to Drif or Fross… yeah am Toxi only takes 3-4 confusions!
As always it comes down to what you see in your Elo but I am doing crazy good!!!
There is Drifblim and Froslass everywhere. I like Bibarel for them

Hisui Cup has been an ok break from OGL for the past couple of days, but the degenerate team comps are on the rise
frostlass is always great due to its excellent balance between bulk, typing and flexible moves. i like limited metas because you can really fine tune strategy, seeing the same thing over and over. Aside from being repetitive, I think the issue with this meta specifically is that it's especially glassy (except basti and cress) and inflexible (except like empo,toxi,lass,drap). maybe why fast move teams might do well here. I'm thinking Probopass is very interesting since it can take out 1/2 the meta (blim,lass,drap,basti(!)) being hardwalled by the fighters (which are not as prevalent as I expected) and gastro/glisc. i might try lass, probo, gast: 575 score on pvpoke. Spice? how about carnavine (w/shield advantage), taking out gast but you can hit lass, empo and cress & toe to toe with basti/glisc?

Sneasler is always ranked highly on some of these limited cups but I can never make it work. It does really bad in almost all 2 shield scenarios
