Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
This week is master league and evolution cup. Evolution Cup is a 1500CP Great League that only allows second stage evolutions. So a vigoroth cup.
Taking a look at my first evolution cup team of charjabug, vigoroth and golbat and talking about the game breaking bug in go battle league.

niantic tried to fix the bug where a pokemon gets a charge move off when instead they should've fainted 1 turn earlier. Instead they added another bug

That happened to me with A Graveler and also my Hakamo-o when I was against a vigoroth where my dragon tail didn't register before they threw body slams. Btw faced one Chansey and it was so satisfying beating that person

Lost 12 in a row yesterday and didn’t know there was a bug happening. Ended up only winning a single set overall. Lost many of the matches by a single turn. So I was 2850 and now am in the 2600s and not a happy guy. Hopefully I can turn it around today but I’m already quite tilted

I've been using Togetic with AA/AP. I would consider DG but there's the Golbats but also Charjabugs and other Togetics that get hit for super effective, plus they're both spammy
Honestly think they should have a GBL day redo after they fix this. Made quite a few battles really close and lost 2 or 3 cause of it.
I witnessed the bug one time yesterday with Charjabug. Cost me that game.

Niantic doing Niantic things….its an absolute shame that a game I love was taken up by an incompetent company.. .its almost as if they are doing beta testing 7 years after release. Poorly managed game both in its mechanics but also its implementation of features…i mean the fact they did go battle day on a Master League and shitty cup week vs doing it when all 3 open leagues are available is absolutely baffling

Honestly Dan I love your content, but I just can’t with this game anymore. I still watch you but I quit the game. The fact that they have so many flaws and bugs and never compensate players or fix and change metas. This game is so stale and boring.

I've been seeing this team alot and I definitely think it's good, but I've been running hakamo-o in front with primeape and a full IV XL buddy ribbon Chansey in the back and I just do not lose to this.

I actually took Bug off my team yesterday because of Togetic.
Ancient Power crushes Golbat and Charjabug, and Aerial Ace kills Primeape.
I did way better with Dragonair/Bat/Ape
I use togetic. At 2850 right now.

I use aa and ap. Gleam just takes to long. With aa you also counter all fighters which are many! And you are quite fast to 2 and win most scenarios
Yeah that glitch cost me a few games am I really got mad something g that doesn’t happen! That update that they did for the DragonNew Year thing was the one who brought that! Man Niantic still got it!

Dan, on the topic of Togetic; I've noticed some people running it with Steel Wing. It's a legacy move so you need an elite fast tm, but could be worth? I've just never been a fan of Fairy Wind. Even when you did the Mawile video a while back, I tried it for a few games and hated it.
I use Togetic – Aerial Ace + Ancient Power. You can farm down Hakamo-O all the way, its fun. Primeape needs only one Aerial Ace and couple of Faerie Winds thats also good. Dragonair is a win but it can throw body slams, Arctiback is also a win but it can annihilate Togetic with Avalanche. Vigoroth is neutral, loss if you cant shield Rock Slide. Charjabug withstands two Ancient Powers and thats my greatest problem, Ancient Power do bad damage so it is hard to use even when it is supper effective. But with some energy advantage Togetic can carry entire team, when I meet those dual fighter teams he wipes them out on his own.
Yasser aleed released a video yesterday with togetic on the lead with aerial ace and dazzling gleam with arctibax and crocalor in the back and he really liked it
I think I'm gonna quit battle league. It has gotten so boring, so redundant, and their new low is the most limited meta we have ever seen. This is unplayable. I'll stay subbed but I think I'm done.
I made up this team myself the second the cup came out, I dont have a lot of pokemon with dual moves & 1500 so I sorta just threw it together, cool to see its actually recommended but also sad that more people will counter it now

Yeah my skeledirge in Ultra League lost many times due to that bug. Literally saw the pokemon get hit but not damaged and it cost me so many games.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like the bug is fixed now

You want to run steel wing on Togetic. The added fast move damage makes a significant difference.
The bug is still there for me. Ugh I’ve lost so many times when I’ve played it perfectly and should win, it’s the worst.

Wish I could build my rank 74 Hakamo-o. FYI that last rank level would need 10 XL. Too expensive for me atm but would love to see you crank with it Dan.
Also Togetic with Steel Wing like Callum used looks much stronger than with fairy wind
Togetic with Ancient Power worked fine for me. Same team as yours but different flyer.

I ran Steel Wing as the fast move on Togetic and it did a lot better for me. It at least applied some fast move pressure to like Vigoroth and a few others.
I climbed 300 Elo with this cup. It's a extremely limited cup. But I feel like I learned a lot during go battle day. Due to the many battles I was able to adjust my match-ups and get better at counting, catching and other technical stuff. Kind of got the feeling for the first time ever I rly understood what "jumping around" even means.
The fast move damage glitch was so annoying and I was too impatient that for 1 day I changed my fast move to Spark and then changed it back when they fixed it with an Elite Fast TM
lets just say this is being abused horribly today
Been running charja lead, primeape and hakomo with great success. Charja is op and I can’t wait for them to fix the bug
