Wow, just watched the gaming historian vid on this movie just a few hours ago. As an adult I can definitely see the flaws with this film but as a kid I loved it. RIP to guitar Toad.

Damn, it’s frightening to read these when they’re not much older than your own parents.
I still love the 90’s Mario movie, it’s a very interesting deviation but it’s also faithful to the games in more ways than people realize, and Toad was always a pretty memorable character for me. Rest in Peace Mr. Mixon.
