This is cool. Happy for him
As we learned, fans of the series were involved in the development.
And that’s how you treat dedicated fans. Nintendo should take notes
Isn’t this the guy who ported Tomb Raider to GBA? That’s absolutely the person you should hire.
As someone without the ability, time, or motivation for such endeavors I love stories like this. I love what dedicated fans can do with old things. The countless ports to modern hardware? Love it. Modern launcher for SimCopter? Yep. Flash storage for an iPod Classic? Oh yeah. Everything done with OpenRCT2? Amazing.
This is super wholesome, reminds me of Sega bringing in Sonic fan creators for Mania. More of this, please, games industry!
I always like seeing the people who make fan games or really good mods get recognized by the games developers of the games they worked on. I’m sure it doesn’t happen a lot but when it does it’s nice.
Sad to think that Nintendo would sue a fan like that into oblivion instead.
Oh wow, I am on a game purchasing stopage although this was a game I was interested in. I might make an exception on the grounds that it is looking like an ethical game purchase now. I support moves like these.
why is this in the Nintendo Switch subreddit? is this going to be released to Nintendo switch?
This reminds me of how the folks that made the Desert Combat mod for the original Battlefield 1942 were the ones hired to make Battlefield 2 when it came out.
It’s just such a satisfying story!
