Discovered your channel a few weeks ago. Glad to see someone finally appreciating Masters EX music. My breakdown for each themes:
1. Malva's theme gives me Team Flare vibes, which fits since she's a Flare member. Also, you know those breaking news intro music that just goes unnecessarily hard? Yeah, her theme reminds me of that as well, which ALSO fits her since she's also a news reporter.
2. Wikstrom's theme fits him so much as a knight. Steel clashing, bells, trumpets, harpsichord (I think that's what the string instrument is), all of them SCREAMS medieval. ALSO, why the freak does the electric guitars work SO WELL, excuse me?!
3. Drasna's theme is… My lord, that gave me chills! They mix the tribal instruments so well with the synth too. Fun fact: Drasna's grandparents are from Celestic Town, one of the towns in Sinnoh, which is based on Hokaido, Japan, so you're kinda right. Though, her theme is not really Japanese to be exact, but DEFINITELY eastern.
4. Unfortunately, themes that are mostly piano tend to rank low. Still, Siebold's theme is BEAUTIFUL. It's elegant, almost like a work of art, and that fits Siebold very well. The middle part of his theme also reminds me of the music you hear when there's a French cookoff scene in a movie. (Ratatouille comes to mind)
Overall, Kalos Elite Four theme is BY FAR my favorite out of any of the other Elite Four themes in Masters EX, with Hoenn being a close second.
