Not sure if this is new but this is a cool feature, although I think everyone’s prob the same as me and uses the lucky egg before getting a few friendships up 😂

Total scam to trick you use a lucky egg just for a single person?
Eggs aren’t that common yall and I’m not gonna buy them lol. I’d rather save them for when I have a day off and go raiding for a big event or time multiple best friend level ups to make better use of it.
Maybe if you barely play and win a lot of showcases or have disposable income, sure, use them on single friends.

A few days ago I had timed 4 friends for the 50k xp bonus on the same day.
As long as you are in the friend menu, you don’t get the xp.
As soon as I entered the map screen I dropped an egg and 30 seconds later I got 400k xp instead of 200k.
Next I plan to get 10 friends to max on the same day for 1M xp.

My advice is not to waste a lucky egg on just one friend who is about to tier to best friend status. The better strategy is to wait until you have several friends who are about to become best friends and then wait for your seventh day to pop the lucky egg and then open those gifts to push you to best friends tier with those friends.
If lucky eggs were cheaper or more common to obtain as rewards, then it’d be OK to use them on one friend, but that’s not the case.

i am confused. you use the egg after you get the notif? how does it activate the bonus? do you only get the xp after hitting the X button? so far i have been coordinating and timing when to use a lucky egg before i open a gift.

I actually think that’s a really nice quality of life feature, I do wish that it showed maybe if there are other friendships strung with that one as well. But still nice.
