This is 100% what the first pokemon go trailer made me think was gonna happen

  2. TheSalmoneer

Rural players can’t comprehend this image

  3. fatcatfan

41 players. Two full lobbies of 20, and one guy left wondering what happened.

Yeah, I had the same experience. I live downtown so I ambled out to a mewtwo raid next to my apartment, and sat on a bench. Just as the egg hatched, a massive group of raiders waltzed up to the spot on the other side of the road.

Is this real life? 😱 I… don’t think I have that many people in my whole town

  10. RPGGamer042

Easily twenty times bigger than the entire Pokemon Go community in my area.

Gah, I was in London. This was nothing. We had around 700 the first day and like 500 when I left the second. Those raids were gone so fast I thought I was soloing a one star. Gl with the shiny hunt! (Btw got none in 10 so that’s that).

I’m gutted I won’t get a Mewtwo this weekend. There are no local players to me 🙁

In my rural-ish suburb there’s a naturally formed 2pm weekend raiding party.  Several cars just meet up and park next to each other at 2pm at our library which serves as a town center.  There are 3 gyms.  Then it’s like a caravan that moves to the nearby pond, then the burger king, then the post office, then the park.

Flashbacks when mewtwo was just introduced and we had like 60-70 people walking around Moscow and chilling. Its sad it is no longer possible

Meanwhile us rural players have 2/3 trying and failing repeatedly 😂 am yet to get a shadow legendary because we simply don’t get enough local players – which sucks.

did this yesterday in ktown, NYC. Whole group at a church as I was walking back from Penn station & I knew what to do

And here I am in one of the top 25 biggest cities in America and can’t get 4 extra players for mewtwo raids. Lit 12 flairs and not 1 person responded, my 10000 population hometown has more players

I miss Prague, now I’m stuck in rural Poland and i can’t even catch a f-in shadow Wobbuffet

The ambassador even gave me a cool sticker for getting a shundo 😀

I was excited to be parked behind an abandoned restaurant (which is still a gym, from before the pandemic killed the restaurant) and have multiple
other random cars show up to make it an easy victory. There were 12 of us, lol.

  21. For a raid boss like Shadow Mewtwo, it would have made much more sense to either have it be a shorter event, but every gym with Mewtwo hatching every hour, or do it like elite raids where the eggs are there the day before. I live somewhere that has very limited areas that are walkable with multiple gyms. Ended up connecting with some folks in Campfire and having to drive all around town chasing hatches. I hate to think of the carbon footprint for this weekend.
