It’s hard to look at Nintendo Switch sales and sincerely believe that Nintendo’s strategy is broken.

  2. IWantANewDucky

Meanwhile both Nintendo and PlayStation outsell Xbox in console sales…

  3. Rare_Hero

Longing for the article headline “Michael Pachtner No Longer Works.”

  4. unagiboi

And random redditor unagiboi reports this is bullshit.

  5. Jonesdeclectice

I’m guessing this Industry Analyst doesn’t work in the *video games* industry.

  6. SuperMarioBros2025

I don’t know man seems to be working pretty good for Nintendo

  7. drunkentenshiNL

Someone tell Nintendo, I don’t think they got the memo when they’re so high up on their massive pile of money they have.

  8. wretched_cretin

Is this entire article AI generated? I have a hard time believing that an actual human would write like this.

  9. darkrubyechoes

Michael pachter, you mean the guy that gets EVERYTHING wrong? Just because Xbox makes bad decisions doesn’t mean exclusives are suddenly going away.

  10. Fine_Friendship422

If PlayStation’s and Nintendo’s model are broken, what is Xbox‘s?

  11. SuperHuman64

Someone better break the news to Furukawa, this is devastating.

  12. Moondoggie25

Seems to be working just fine for nintendo. Did someone from microsoft write this? Is that you Phil? You bitch

  13. al_ien5000

This article brought to you by Microsoft

  14. leospeedleo

Weird how the Nintendo Switch is doing just fine and it’s best sellers are their exclusives…..

  15. spinzaku97

I had a feeling I knew who it was before I clicked the link, and lo and behold… It’s everyone’s favorite analyst: Michael Pachter!

  16. KitsuneKamiSama

It works, but only when you have enough exclusives that it feels worth it, that’s why Sony is lagging behind Ninentdo.

  17. A random octogenarian who’s never heard of Mario could do better video game industry analysis than Michael Pachter. Whenever a headline says “video game industry analyst says something dumb” it is always, always him

  18. fffan9391

This the guy Microsoft is taking advice from?

  19. LakSivrak

written by someone with stock in live service microtransactions/gamepass, probably.

  20. dude19832

Console exclusives aren’t going away on Nintendo platforms. Yes, Sony has now started to port its exclusives to the PC but Nintendo will not do that to its 1st party offerings. This article is dumb. Lol

  21. Torracattos

Yeah, this is honestly bullshit. Just look at the sales numbers.

  22. Ok_Lecture_3258

Really? Cause it seems to be doing pretty well for Nintendo.

  23. tatsumakisempukyaku

Nintendo: Just put the article on that giant pile of cash over there, once I get done counting it I will read the article.

  24. KeyboardG

I knew it was going to be Michael Pachter. This clown has been saying this for years and years. He said it before the switch.

  25. AbstractEngima

While that may not hold true for Nintendo. But it does hold true for Sony with Playstation.

Sony barely produced any exclusives for the console, resulting in 10 titles after 4-5 years. Which is basically a stark contrast to Switch having more than 40 exclusives after 4 years after its launch.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/1bvsf7s/all_exclusive_games_on_nintendo_switch_by_year/

It’s already clear that Sony’s model of exclusives is failing, due to high development costs and lack of diversity among its titles. Even that Sony outright stated that PS5 may be their last console.

  26. FoundOasis

Nintendo and PlayStation are making it work lol the sales of the games and console the switch at almost 140 million and the PlayStation at 50 million

  27. AgentSkidMarks

Lol what a stupid headline. Hard to believe this isn’t rage bait.

  28. MaddestChadLad

In other news, industry analyst spouts their nonsense opinion
