First shiny I ever lost was a Shiny Sableye. I live relatively far away from a Pokestop and one day, I started GPS drifting into a forest right next to my neighbourhood. There were some pokemon and a Sableye. And to my surprise, the Sableye was shiny. I only had one Ultra Ball but I didn’t really sweat about it, cause I thought to myself; “No Sableye is gonna escape an Ultra Ball and a Razz Berry!”. Then, the Sableye decided to take my statement and shove it down the toilet by jumping out of the ball. I clicked off the encounter then ran to my nearest Pokestop. After that, I tried my best to get near the forest. If I could enter that forest, I would, only problem was it was private property. And I never saw that Sableye again.
The second shiny I ever lost was a Shadow Shiny Zubat. I was battling a Team Rocket Leader (I forgot which one) and I was wishing for the Zubat to be green. Clicked the encounter and it was a shiny. And I have a habit where I screen record an encounter with any Shiny Pokemon, and I liked to screenshot the shiny when it sparkles. I don’t know why I didn’t just clicked the AR button, I guess I didn’t know about that feature at the time. Then, I went out of Pokemon Go to start my screen recording and then I went back into the game. I clicked the flee button, thinking I could just re-encounter the Zubat by clicking the balloon. I clicked the balloon, and a “Battle not found.” message popped up, and the balloon flew away. I never saw that Zubat again.
Only two shinies lost so far, hoping that tally won’t increase. What about you guys, what Shiny Pokemon have you lost?
