Basically, everyone figured it out that Mario voice was different but when I look at the trailer. It sounded the same to me.
Though I heard his new voice has received mixed reactions which lacks the the enthusiasm and ignoring the intricacies that Charles Marinate his. Which made some people not look forward to his voice in future games like Mario Kart and Smash which compromises the majority of voice work for Mario Characters.

Gave him a chance with an open mind, don’t like it. Just lacks the enthusiasm of Martinet in general, even ignoring the intricacies of Martinets voice which can’t ever be 100% replicated
