Yes, it’s new. Before the previous update we couldn’t tell if a Pokemon was a shadow or purified from the team preview, and now we can. But as a side effect the empty slots show both the purified and shadow symbols as a bug. Will be fixed soon, as it’s an easy thing to fix.
