I already have everything built, I cant even play these stupid cups without spending a ton of dust on something Ill never use again.
I can so relate! I shout out "I hate Niantic" quite regularly during GBL especially when my Samsung S9+ lags/freezes. I am hoping Google passes it on. 😮😮😊
OMG this Cup is soooo bad why they keep bringing it back lol I just want to have fun playing a game and not rage at it constantly I play games for fun and not to rage constantly it’s not fun

Be mad at yourself if you want to be mad, you haven’t hit legend before this week. You have valid points with how the game plays and the lag but having a few extra pokemon here and there to power up if need be isn’t a crazy concept. If you didn’t want to do that then don’t play a week and relax and try next week with all leagues available. You’re clearly burned out so taking a week off might be good for you.

I didn’t realize i literally only had 3 pokemon for catch cup. I built a lot of pokemon this season but I guess most of them were caught in previous seasons, so I think I’m gonna take the week off gbl for the sake of my elo and honestly my mental state.
Youre in the same boat ive found myself in last 2 seasons.. close to legend but stuck with catch cup… im just taking the week off this time cause the last 2 times i just dropped so much elo from catch cup that legend became out of reach

I agree with you about the charge TM issue, I have at least a dozen Pokémon powered up and double moved but I just can’t get the right moves on them to use them. Recently when I finally caught a good IV Annihilape I got so frustrated after using all my TMs on him and then going a bunch of sets dry on getting new ones I just elite TMed shadow ball onto the thing out of sheer frustration.
Some creators do User submitted game reviews, akin to tutoring. You don't have to always showcase your own gameplay, and with the team restrictions it might be nice to show off other peoples' catches this season.
Same here….bought my ELO from 3200 to 2400 because i havent caught much but i cant stop playing GBL everyday….absolute trash!
I mean if you're up for investing in another registeel then I'd probably run Mandi lead, regi safe swap, tenta close. Regi and tenta make a pretty solid core, but are both weak to ground so those two in the back with a flier in the lead. Mandi is weak to fairy and both steel and poison cover that. Catch up is break time for me
Last season I was in the position you now find yourself in. I usually hit Legend with about 4 weeks to spare but for whatever reason it didn't happen for me, so I had to play Catch Cup. My advice is to just go out and find meta mons that you're comfortable with and don't worry too much about IV's. I stormed to Legend using a Rank 1409 Skarm and Rank 726 Lanturn. This season, I was more prepared. Saved mons throughout the season and hit Legend in 12 sets of Catch Cup.
In comparison to new players old players have that advantage of possessing thousands of candies for many pokemons. So you catch a fuecoco and you can evolve it to skeledirge in a minute and you don't need many tms or elite tm for the best moveset for it or hundreds of stardust. And yes, it could be a skeledirge you use just for this cup and then transfer, and I don't see a problem in that, cause old players do have more resources and more experience to play better, so… I feel like it's a matter of not wanting to make any effort rather than anything else.

the title is 100% me. this cup is so stupid, the game is so buggy especially with the latest update. I'm skipping this week because I don't get great league normally so I have no chance with this catch cup, it's been great so far. I'll try to push in the last week but I don't even care if I get legend or not at this point
I've used almost 30 TMs on an Ampharos I wanted to build and still haven't landed on Trailblaze. The TM system is ridiculous. And there are people who have the audacity to say "just do tier 3 raids" or "just play pvp". Like I don't do those things already.
I ain't a legend player (stuck on ace 😅) & the catch cup is 50/50 either I try something new or hope I have the pokemon caught this season ready for that catch cup. For instance, wanted to try out crocolar so powered that up & first time I am trying out lickatung (got 1 that doesn't require too much stardust & XL to power up & it's 98% 14-15-15 so…) & poliwrath 🤷♂️ hoping to AT LEAST get out of ace rank 😂 I got more pokemon but I don't know…. in 2200-2350 range atm 🤔🤷♂️
