Artificial scarcity will do shit like that.

Great. Now do the same thing with Paper Mario 64, TTYD, and SPM.
Everyone would love that.

Unfortunately this just means that Nintendo will release more limited time, full price, retro games with zero improvements.

That’s really cool considering Nintendo hacked together 3 pieces of ROM garbage instead of actually doing any work and charged us $60 each. Good for them.

What do people think of a Mario Kart Collection? I don’t really see anybody talking about it but it would probably sell like nuts.
Maybe MK64, MKDD, MKWii?

Disappointing that low effort is rewarded, but at least more games can be ported, and that means there’s a possibility for a Paper Mario trilogy.
crimsonfox64
Not looking forward to similar ports.

While not surprised it’s sad the precedent this sets, Nintendo can release a lazy barely touched “HD rerelease” for full price, and people will just buy it.

I wonder what the numbers would’ve looked like if there wasn’t a fat ass scarcity tag right on the box.

“great, our scummy practices work!”

Nintendo primed and ready to milk people’s childhoods even more shamelessly for many years to come.

nintendo fans: limited releases are bullshit
also nintendo fans: wait i never said i wasn’t gonna buy it

There are rarely games worth buying for switch. When anything remotely good comes out, especially if it’s an exclusive, everyone buys it. It’s really frustrating for me because I want to buy Nintendo games but I just play PC because nothing ever comes out.

Great that Sunshine is now playable on HD platforms legally, even if the release method is a bit iffy. I hope they port over a few other certain Gamecube RPGs while they’re at it.
Ricardotorres03
Súper Mario 64 in handheld, sunshine in handheld and Galaxy in handheld. Too good to pass on.
hiiiexhaulted
Wow! It’s almost like… people want to play old games on current hardware! Who woulda thought?
